Dr. Summer Xia - Dream Dental

Dr. Summer's passion for learning and dedication to service fueled her desire to pursue a career in dentistry from Peking University, one of the most prestigious dental schools in China. After graduating dental school at the top of her class, she accomplished her specialization in Periodontology in 2011 from Peking University. Since then, Dr. Summers' diverse experiences have included, teaching periodontology, practicing general dentistry and periodontics in private practice.

Looking for a new challenge and warmer weather, Dr. Summer decided to move to California and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California San Francisco in 2016. She has received high honors in all of her accomplishments.

After careful and thoughtful evaluation by Dr. Gorrell, she joined Gorrell Smiles and became the latest team member providing leading dental care procedures in a relaxed and comfortable environment while utilizing state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and materials.

Dr. Summer is a careful listener and will discuss beforehand what treatment is the best and explain the dental procedures. Her diverse cultural background and excellent linguistic abilities allow her to extend her services also to patients that speak Mandarin Chinese. She seeks to empower patients to a lifetime of excellent dental health by early prevention. Her commitment to patient-centered care and wealth of experience allows her to treat patients by providing services in comfortable wisdom tooth extraction, conservative gum surgeries, non-invasive implant placement, and painless root canal treatment.

When Dr. Summer is not volunteering her time, she enjoys playing piano, hiking, and traveling the world. Her most recent adventure was a month long trip to Western Europe where she traveled to over seven countries.
